ABOUT THE FEES

When committing to a Tenancy Agreement at RMIT Village Old Melbourne you are agreeing to pay a fully inclusive fee associated with the choice of accommodation that you have been offered.

The Tenancy Fee is the fee for occupying a room at the Village and enjoying the facilities of the Village for residents. The Fee is payable in advance on a fortnightly or monthly basis. Payments are direct debited against a resident’s Australian bank accounts or nominated credit card (VISA or MasterCard). A schedule of dates for debiting of payments will be provided to residents who pay fortnightly. After accepting an offer of accommodation at the Village, you are required to sign a formal Tenancy Agreement with the Village. The Agreement will set out in detail the arrangements for the occupation of a room in the Village and the rights and obligations of both you and the Village. A fee is payable and a minimum notice period applies for early departures.

The Village offers numerous accommodation types, which will suit different requirements and budgets. The price of an individual room will depend on length of stay, aspect, size, amenity and general layout of the room and shared areas.

The fully inclusive tenancy fee includes:

In an effort to make it as easy as possible for residents to pay fees, you can pay fortnightly. At any time during your stay at the Village you will be able to access your account to keep an idea of what you have spent and what you owe.
