Welcome to the on-line residency application for RMIT Village Old Melbourne.  Both current and prospective tertiary students are eligible to apply for accommodation at RMIT Village Old Melbourne. When applying we ask that you complete the application with as much detail as possible.

Things you should know before you apply:

  • Please familiarise yourself with the accommodation types and fees & charges before you start the application process. In the application process you will need to choose the accommodation option you prefer.
  • It is in your interest to fill out this form correctly. Please read the instructions carefully and check you have filled out all required fields properly.
  • Please do not hit the "back" button on the internet browser when filling in the application form as this will cause an error to occur.

 

To apply complete the following steps:

  1. Click the ‘apply’ button
  2. Complete the online application form
  3. Check your email regularly, as your ‘offer of accommodation’ will be emailed to you within 1-2 working days
  4. When you receive your ‘offer of accommodation’, secure your place by completing the acceptance forms and return within 2 weeks. Once you accept your offer, you must then pay a $600 bond (refundable). All bond monies are forwarded by the Village and held at the Residential Tenancy Bond Authority as per the Residential Tenancy Act.

*Don’t forget that the bond will be refunded at the end of the year if the final inspection following departure is satisfactory, and all apartment and room furniture and fittings are considered to be of satisfactory condition, taking account of general wear and tear.

What happens after this application procedure?

After you have successfully completed your application, you will be given an application number and password. Hold on to these! They will allow you to check on the progress of your application!

If you change your email address, it is very important that you advise us of this as soon as possible as we will use email to contact you.

Once positions have been finalised, students will be contacted via email and informed of the result of their request for residency.
